Normally you need to apply nothing to your floors other than a floor mop. However after a while you may feel you need something that little bit stronger to get rid of the built-up grime. One product you may consider is Armstrong’s concentrated floor cleaner according. Simply follow the instructions given, there’s noting much more to it other than that. There are many other brands on the market so feel free to try them out. Just stay away from detergents, pine cleaners and any product designed to give your floor a glossy shine.

When you choose a mop for cleaning your no-wax floors, avoid using those traditional “string” mops. Instead go for the type which has strips of thin sponge. By using the correct type of mop you will be able to avoid any horrible looking streaks. Also don’t use very hot water as this can destroy the finish.

If you like to go down the natural and eco-friendly route of household cleaning, baking soda or vinegar mixed in with some warm water will work wonders. Then there is Murphy Oil Soap Original Formula which recommends its use on no-wax flooring.

If you are still unsure or are having difficulty getting rid of stubborn stains, phone the manufacturer of the flooring you have installed and ask them for advice. They may be able to give you details of products that work well.

In order to prevent your floor suffering from any more abuse than necessary, try placing doormats on the floor so people can wipe their feet before walking over your beautiful no-wax floor. Whenever you accidentally spill anything onto the floor, wipe it up immediately to prevent damage.
